How to find a REALTOR

As with other professionals and consultants, the best way to find a REALTOR is through personal referrals from family and friends. Look for an agent who, among other things, demonstrates knowledge of the market and your local area, listens attentively and instills confidence.

• Check For Sale signs in your neighbourhood for names of local agents who specialize in the area.
• Attend open houses promoted in your local paper or the Real Estate Weekly.
• Call REALTORS who have promoted their services by sending newsletters or flyers to your door.
• Check the Real Estate Weekly for REALTORS who have listed properties in your area.
• Check the Yellow Pages for a real estate office near you.

You can also contact the listing REALTOR of properties similar to yours currently advertised on mls.ca.
