James Mabey becomes Chair of REALTORS® Association of Edmonton
Edmonton, January 4, 2017: James Mabey assumed the role of Chair of the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton on January 1, 2017. He previously served on the Board of Directors from 2011-2012 and has been on the board from 2014 to present, and was the Chair-Elect in 2016.
Chair Mabey is the Broker/Owner of Realty Executives Masters. He joined the real estate industry in 2005 after completing a commerce degree with great distinction from McGill University. In 2007, Mabey was licensed as a Broker and has been a manager ever since, encouraging and supporting his team of REALTORS® to conduct business with strong values and ethics. In 2013, James was the recipient of the first ever Broker/Manager Leadership Award from the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton.
He has been an active member of the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton, serving most recently as the 2012 and 2015 Chair of the Technology Committee. He also served on the Marketing Committee from 2011 to 2015 and is the past chair of the Member Services Committee (2011).
Mabey enjoys volunteering in his community, serving as a Director and past Chair of HIV Edmonton from 2008 to 2014, and was the recipient of the Bob Mills Leadership Award for his work there. He was also a top fundraiser for the AIDS Walk for Life Edmonton.
He’s looking forward to working hard this year representing all the members of the Edmonton Association, along with the other REALTORS® Association of Edmonton Board of Directors, including: Chair Elect Darcy Torhjelm, Past Chair Steve Sedgwick, John Carle, Michael Brodrick, Brad Woodward, Vice Chair Lindsay Carlson, Kathy Schmidt and Tom Shearer.
