Perras Becomes New REALTORS® Association President

Edmonton, January 3, 2008: The Board of Directors of the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton is pleased to announce that Marc Perras (Pahr-is), REALTOR®, will sit in the President’s chair for the 2008 term. Mr. Perras served as President-Elect in 2007 and succeeds Carolyn Pratt as President.

Mr. Perras built a solid career in real estate starting in 1992 and has reached Medallion Sales Achievement status in both the individual (2000 and 2001) and team categories (2006).

Mr. Perras has served on many of his brokerage’s committees and joined the REALTORS® Association Technology Committee in 2002. He was elected to the Member Services Committee in 2001 and 2002 and was elected to the Board of Directors for two terms. He has either chaired or co-chaired the Arbitration and Professional Standards Committee, Political Action Committee, Member Services Committee and Technology Committee.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Mr. Perras attended the Architectural Technology and Business Programs at NAIT and received a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge in 1990.

Mr. Perras will serve as President until December 2008.
